Key information

Since January 1 2019, the new Foreign Nationals and Integration Act (LEI) has been in force. New provisions have been introduced, emphasizing the need for linguistic integration of foreigners in their place of residence.
In the canton of Vaud, a minimum level of proficiency in French is now required for B and C permits, as well as for naturalization.
In response to these new requirements, the fide Secretariat, on behalf of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), has created a language passport certifying the holder’s oral and written skills, from level A1 to B1.
How do I prepare for the fide test? There are a variety of formulas, so let’s work together to find the one that will help you pass the test.

There are three options to obtain your language passport. At our fide-accredited centers in Vevey and Lausanne, you can take the fide test twice a week.
